The Minehoff MCC was founded in 1982 by Stan Thompson, assisted by Ian Cullen, Tiger and various others. It soon evolved into a backpatch club called “Minehoff M.C.C. Haddington” The Club’s backpatch consisted of red and white top and bottom rockers. As most of the club members came from Haddington and the surrounding area, the Kings Arms in Haddington, run by Neil and Alison Young quickly became established as the club’s base. Within a couple of years membership had swelled to over 60. Various changes of patch and name “Minehoff MCC Lothians”, occurred over the years. However, by 1986 it was decided to drop the backpatch idea and club members can now be recognised through an arm patch or T-Shirt with the “Ace of Spades” logo. The Club is now simply called the Minehoff Motorcycle Club.
